Formation Calibrating with DaVinci Resolve

Training goals

Be able to:
- use primary and secondary colorimetric settings,
- calibrate all types of media,
- acquire an artistic approach while keeping within technical constraints.

Details

I. Introduction to DaVinci Resolve:
- material configuration and screen calibration,
- setting the parameters for the project,
- using a control desk.
II. Media interface: preparing calibration,
- importing and optimising media,
- recuperating existing edited content with the scene detection tool,
- importing from XML, AAF, EDL.
III. Color interface: calibrating,
- the nodal system,
- input LUDs,
- analysing and control tools,
- advanced primary settings.
IV. Advanced settings: secondary corrections by colours, masks and shapes,
- using Tracker 3D with masks,
- accentuating, reframing and stabilising,
- advanced functions: RAW files and camera calibration,
- parameters.
V. Calibration methods: choosing and calibrating reference shots,
- matching colour techniques: continuity work, working faster,
- creating a style for your film, using output LUTs.
VI. Delivering interfaces:
- exporting and archiving,
- exporting masters, exporting to editing programmes,
- exporting to multi-support broadcasts (Internet, mobiles...), - archiving the project.
